I have a severe fear of going to a dentist let alone even walking into one but I am glad they came to our office. I LOVE them here, everyone is caring, supporting and understanding. No one there judges you for bad dental habits and I have never had a dentist personally call me the next day to see how I did after a procedure. They are amazing and I am glad I have found them.

I recently had my 6 month cleaning and had a great experience. The staff is very friendly from the moment you walk through the door. My dental hygienist was very thorough and explained everything she was doing. Dr Athar found a small dental carie and scheduled me for a filling. The day of the procedure Dr Athar explained everything that she was doing, as well as what to expect in the next few days. She even called me the next day to see how I was doing. It shows she really cares about her patients. I honestly enjoy going to the dentist. I’ve been with South Barrington Dental Care for several years now and can’t imagine ever going anywhere else. Are you afraid of dentists? Well, I have some good news for you..... You can forget being afraid. Dr. Athar and her staff are THE BEST!!! I just had a filling replaced. Never felt the novocaine and she was finished in 10 minutes!!! Every procedure I have had has been quick and painless. Candace is an excellent hygienist. Again fast and through and gentle. Don't have dental "insurance"? Neither do I. This practice has its own plan and it is a GOOD DEAL!!! SERIOUSLY call and make an appointment! You will not be sorry!!

This is by far the best dental group I have ever been to. The entire team is absolutely amazing, kind, and warm. Special thanks to Candice who is an absolute expert in gum health and worked with me, a very nervous patient, to do a serious deep clean. I have more work to do, but they are putting me back on the path to great dental health. In addition, the prices are extremely affordable both with my insurance, but even without! They do it it right - don't go anywhere else.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! I have been scared to go to the Dentist for a long time because of my past experiences. A few years ago I had to make a decision and find a Dentist because I was in pain and needed some work done. Dr. Steve and his team are amazing!! He runs down all the details and makes me feel comfortable before working in my mouth. His follow up calls definitely puts the icing on the cake. Dr. Steve genuinely cares about our health. Let’s talk about the gate keepers, Jackie, Beth, Ari, Leslie and Ella; these ladies create the atmosphere that soothes you before the actual work starts. Each time I walk in the office they make me feel good about choosing to go to the dentist. Their customer service is on point and they make sure they speak and engage in conversation with me. The hygienist’s Jenny and Candice I’ve only seen a couple of times and they are amazing as well. Shout out to Ella for always making me feel comfortable in the chair, to Beth for always cheering for me and to Jackie for her follow up texts messages and making sure I understand my payment plan. For so long I have been searching for a place where I can get the majority of the work that’s needed in one place. Had amazing veneers done by Dr. Fedyna several years ago, and always loved his staff! I was nervous to return after he sadly passed away, but the new doctor, Dr. Sokolik, is great and works well with people who have some dental anxiety (like myself)! Amazing customer service. I’ve been going here for a few years and I’ve never had a bad experience here. The front desk ladies have always been so kind and welcoming, along with the dental hygienists/assistants and Dr. Steven Sokolik. Coming from someone who doesn’t have dental insurance and usually having to pay out of pocket, Jackie and Missy have worked with me in the past on payment plans so I’m able to get the required work done on my teeth. My hatred for the dentist is finally gone! I’ve avoided them most of my life for obvious reasons, but was pleasantly surprised when it was nothing like I remember. I had a deep cleaning and a few cavities filled with ZERO pain or discomfort. Dr. Sokolik was incredibly friendly and you can tell he really cares about his patients. The ladies at the front desk are always smiling and have been an absolute pleasure to work with! After everything was finished, I decided to cap it off with a whitening. Phenomenal results! Great ending to an all around great experience.

I am someone who has always been anxious when visiting the dentist. I came into the office for the first time with an emergency and the office welcomed me with open arms. Not only did they do investigating into what my issue was but they were also able to refer me to a root canal specialist and get me into them that same day. It was the best, easiest and most comfortable time I have ever experienced at a dental office. I have been back a couple more times since then and it is never anything but a wonderful experience. Prices are more than fair and the doctor and staff truly make you feel like you and your time/issues matter. There dental hygenist Candice is amazing! I will never go anywhere else!

I’m a new patient of Dr. Sokolik and his practice, and I’m so grateful I found him! Dr. Sokolik was incredibly gentle when giving me the Novocaine shot; I didn’t feel a thing. I had a deep cavity in a back tooth, but I was comfortable the whole time. (Last time I had a deep cavity, my former dentist caused so much pain during the filling and afterwards.) My tooth healed well and I had no issues or pain afterwards because of Dr. Sokolik’s skills. I was also impressed with the other staff members. The dental hygienist who cleaned my teeth was so gentle! She didn’t cause any discomfort and didn’t make my gums bleed. Everyone was pleasantly and helpful in the office. The office has all the latest equipment with their tools and x-ray machines. The whole place was extremely clean, which is a big deal in my book.

Not only do they clean my teeth which exceeds expectations, but they were able to replace my (broken) metal permanent retainer (not originally from their office) and fit/mold for my night guard. The dental assistant Elda is the kindest she so sweet and, relatable makes you feel at home and very comfortable. Missy the receptionist is serious a gem. I have only been here once, for a consultation but this was the most positive experience I have ever had at a dental office. Everyone and I do mean everyone did all they could to ensure I was not only given all the options I had for fixing a broken tooth, but also gave me payment options for both insurance and non insurance. After I left I went on to Facebook and bragged how this didn't seem like a business, and I didn't feel like a number but I felt like I was a part of the family. This seriously makes me very excited to go back. I have never said that about a dentist visit.-2019 Update: I have been coming here for more then a year, I can not tell people enough how great the dentist and staff are. I am a grown man who has anxiety about the dentist and they did EVERYTHING to keep me comfortable. Not only did they make me feel ok, they gave me a smile I am so proud to have. I'm particularly fond of Anya because she has been there since I starting going. We swap stories about kids, house remodels, and book reviews followed by great advice on how to best care my teeth or my kids' teeth. Dr. Sokolik makes everyone feel welcome, gives his undivided attention when you are describing any tooth/mouth related concerns and always responds with good advice. Everyone here was very helpful and outgoing! before anything else, they took precautions for covid-19 by taking my temperature and blood pressure while also having me fill out forms. The hygienists did a great job of cleaning my teeth and made sure I knew how to take better care of myself in the future. Overall, it was a great first experience at South Barrington Dental Care.

The staff at south Barrington dental care is phenomenal. They are all very nice people who personally care about your dental health. Every time I walk in the door they all greet me very nicely. When I am in the appointment, they always remember what we had talked about last time I went. If anything is wrong, or if I need to do something more, they will certainly tell me right away. They want your dental health to be the best it can be and to try and start a daily routine so you never have any problems. They have recommended certain products to me that have helped tremendously over the last year. Overall it is a great dental care office to go to. I would recommend it to anyone.

I went to South Barrington Dental Care on the recommendation of a good friend. I have always have had a fear of the dentist and Dr. Sokolik and his whole team took their time to make me feel at ease. Durring my appointment they took xrays which was probably the easiest set of xrays I've had. At no point was it uncomfortable or scraped up the inside of my mouth like some times happen. Also Dr. Sokolik took his time explaining what I had going on and set up a consultation to go over my dental plan. If anyone feels uncomfortable going to the dentist I would Highly Recommend checking out South Barrington Dental Care they really take the time to make you feel comfortable through the process. It makes a huge difference when the whole team is super nice and helps make you feel super comfortable. I would like to thank Dr. Sokolik and his team and I look foward to working with them for my dental care.

Beth is always ready to go over the treatment plan the way I understand everything. Me and my family drive 45 minutes to get to this office. My 2 kids absolutely love Anya. Wisdom tooth pain during pregnancy? I know it can’t get worse. Thanks to Dr.Sokolik and his staff for talking me through the process, coordinating with my OB/GYN on the treatment process, being available on phone during later work hours for intense pain and finally having one of the least painful wisdom tooth extraction. It doesn’t end there, when it finally comes to payment, they charged me much lower than initial quote as the process was much simpler than expected. 5 stars to everything.. the technical as well as customer service aspects!

I used to dread going to the dentist. This place is so special and unique. You walk in to be personally greeted asked about any concerns,given chilled water and sit down in an elegant waiting room. I've never waited more than 1 minute. NEVER! The staff guides you to you state of the art room and sets Up you favorite TV station. The Dr. Walks in all smiles and asks you what is bothering you and Together You work out a treatment plan. Now before I came to South Barrington, I had checked with several other Doctors; no one ever told me that a "Bridge" was an option and the quotes I got were way beyond my budget. At South Barrington, the Dr. Came up with a perfect plan that I could afford and make payments on. I was so relieved and felt I had finally landed in the right hands. From then on we worked at my own pace and I never once felt any discomfort or pain. I travel from Chicago to Barrington, in 25 minutes and pull right into a parking spot. The office feels like family, the Dr. Himself called me the next day to see if everything was fine. No one does that.
